The incinerator for burning granulated agricultural refuse has steel walls lined with refractory material and a ouble insulated sloping hearth, Material is fed by a conveyor and discharged into a hopper. Primary combustion air is blown through the bed by vents and against it by a further vent. A roof controls the height of the bed whilst another roof keeps the primary air against the flow of the bed. Above the roofs a secondary air stream is injected to complete the combustion of particles in the upper part and cool and solidify them so that they fall into the cinder box.
