The preprogrammed digital computer uses a calculating module associated with a transfer matrix for digital data and operation orders. The matrix is formed from connection lines and columns connected to the module. To the squares of the matrix are assigned figures 0, 1, 2-----9 and also the elementary operations which can be carried out by the module. Introduction of several digit numerical data or an order operation is carried by short circuiting the line and column of the square assigned to the value of the digit or operation. The computer has in addition prewired circuits formed by a group of gates each connecting a line and a column of the matrix. Sequential control circuits open these gates to transfer into the calculating module the digital values and the orders necessary for the calculation.
