The bracing, for retaining unstable rock slopes, consists of one or more unsealed metal tubes (1) which pint the unstable rock slope (2) through its slip surface (4) back to sand and stable rock. The tubes are perforated by holes at intervals and are inclined downwards in order to provide outward drainage for the slope. They are also not fixed into the rock, relying solely on friction and shear resistance of the tube for their effectiveness.
