The radio communications system has a central station polling outstations and not only recognising when they want to transmit but also their priority. Priority is arranged according to the time an outstation has been waiting to transmit. Each outstation sends its message together with the time between release and the sending of the message. This time is measured by a counter which is coupled to an oscillator when the message is released and disconnected from it and reset when the message is sent. This reduces the waiting time.
