The automatic decompression valve for the coffee making machine consists of a piston (9) which slides along a cylinder (1). The piston incorporates gaskets (10, 11) enabling the water inlet hole (5) to be partially blocked and the decompression hole (3) to be completely blocked, when the boiler inlet hole is released. In the axial front part of the cylinder is a hole with a connection, and the front and back surface of the cylinder has a discharge hole, with a part-blocking side on the back surface. A hole with connection in the back part of the cylinder extends into a slanting pipe facing downwards, with a projecting pin in its axial part fitting into the axial part of the perforated piston. A return spring is incorporated between the front of the cylinder and the piston.
