Aircraft landing approach ground warning system - provides audio and visual warning signal upon reception of coded signal

The aircraft landing approach ground warning, for clearance of the landing area, provides an audio and/or visual warning signal in response to reception of a coded message indicating the aircraft approach. The coded message is transmitted by an approaching aircraft and the warning signal is provided by a ground beacon from the instant the messae is received until touch-down of the aircraft. The warning signal can be received by the pilot of the approaching aircraft, this signal also serving to warn other aircraft to stay clear of the approach path.
