The shutter module (10) forms a soffit well between perpendicular pairs of beams (0). It is cast in plaster or similar, and is of a truncated pyramid form with a closed top (12) and externally flanged (13) bottom rim (14). Each module also has a peripheral rib (15, 16) on both the internal and external faces of the sloping walls (11). The modules (10) fit vertically one inside the other for stacking with the outer ribs (15) acting as penetration stops. The inner rib (16) can be used in the suspension of false ceilings.
