A device for the partial stripping of leaves from trained vines, comprises a frame (1) carried by a tractor and supporting an axial flow fan (9) whose shaft (8) is provided with a cutter blade (10) for severing foliage drawn towards the device by the suction of the fan. The frame is mounted on two arms slidable in transverse members on the tractor by rams, to adjust the frame laterally. The housing (7) of the fan is carried by a transverse support slidable vertically on the uprights of the frame. The cutter blade may be mounted inside the housing. The orientation of the housing is adjustable in relation to its transverse support.
