Garden shears where a shears body (1) has handle grips (1', 1") and blades (2, 2') with corresponding cutting edges (4, 4'). A drive device (3) is fitted on the shears body (1) and is connected with the opening- and closing process of the blades (2, 2'). A thin stripper section (5) is arranged along one of the cutting lines (4, 4') on one of the blades (2, 2'). The foot part of this stripper section engages with the drive device (3). On opening and closing the blades (2, 2') the stripper section (5) can be reciprocated by means of the drive device (3).
