Reinforcing corner for cardboard box - has square wooden corner piece held in slot of cardboard reinforcement piece

The packing box is rectangular and is fitted with a card-board reinforcing piece made from flat cardboard. The reinforcing piece has two sides (1, 2) applied to the inner side of the box and two flaps (12, 15) which follow the flaps (13, 14) of the carton. A square slot (7) is fitted to the inside of the reinforcing piece to take a corner strut (16). The strut is made out of wood and extends down the whole length of the carton. The reinforcing piece is permanently fixed to the inside face of the carton.
