Rifled sporting gun rear sight support bracket - is interchangeable with two fixing screws, one screw hole being rectangular

A dismountable rear sight support strip(2) is attached to a rifled sporting gun(1). The ends(3, 4) of the strip, made of steel, press on the barrel(5) and also on the top of the stock (6) of the gun. The front part(3) is slightly higher than the rear part(4). The strip has a raised portion(7). For perfect alignment between the strip and the bore of the gun, there is a groove (8, 9) on top of the stock(6). The strip is fixed by two screws(10, 11). The screw hole(12) in the front part(3) is rectangular to ensure interchangeability between two guns with slightly differing dimensions.
