A cartridge fuse tester has a variable size compartment into which the fuse is placed. Contacts (9) and (10) touch each end of the fuse and a circuit is established through a path which leads via cables to a lamp (15) and a spring (12). It passes through a housing (1) to the cap (3) a spring (6) and a battery (7) to a terminal (9). A good fuse will illuminate the lamp (15). The device packs down in use with a locking slot and pin bayonet action to the dimensions of a common fountain pen.
