The anti-pollutant water-tight container for burial places consists of a box (1) with impervious sides and an open front (2). The front is hermetically sealed by a marble plaque (3). A filter consisting of a porous wall (6) divides the box (1) into two sections, and forms a compartment (7) which contains a porous mass (8) for maintaining biological activity in contact with the outside. The edges of the box (7) are raised above the top (10) to stop water trickling in. The bottom of the box (7) can be open where boxes are placed on top of one another.
