The spacer system, is designed to locate between the poles of a high-speed (1,200 rpm) salient-pole rotating machine. It consists of two spacer blocks connected between adjacent poles and holding the pole windings against the pole slots with the aid of screws situated between the blocks. The two spacer blocks (1, 2) have projecting tails (21, 22) parallel to the shaft of the rotor. The electrical connection (9) between adjacent pole windings is strapped beneath these tails.
