Blades are fixed at their free ends to holding disks at right angles to the spindle. The blades may be in the form of a "U" with inturned flanges at the tops of their legs by which they can be welded to a plain disk. their lower ends are retained by a ring, and the blades run from the top disk to which they are secured slightly offset diametrically to each other, down to the holding ring. In the axial direction they are inclined slightly outwards, whilst their outside faces subtend an acute angle to parallel tangential lines to the disk dia. This household tool for mixing paints, pastes, foodstuffs, etc., can be attached to hand operated drill. It overcomes the difficulties with other mixers which tend to project the materials being mixed, outwards and upwards so that incrustation of the vessels and the driver is caused.
