Extract hood for kitchen fumes - has filter at angle to vertical and resting on flanges inside hood body

The hood has a casing(11) which has a hinged front(12). There is a centrifugal fan(13) at the back of the hood which draws air in and discharges it through the top of the hood. A carbon filter extends across the width of the hood across the fan inlet. The filter has a perforated screen front and back(18, 19) with transverse walls(17) between them. Activated carbon is packed in the spaced between these. The filter is at an angle to the vertical. Its bottom edge rests on a projecting flange of the fan inlet casing and its upper edge rests on a flange(20) running across the top of the inside of the hood.
