1505196 Multiple mould CAVICRETE & SHUTTERCRETE Ltd 27 Oct 1976 [5 Nov 1975] 45875/75 Heading B5A [Also in Division E1] A multiple mould for forming a plurality of building units, each comprising spaced rectangular slabs interconnected by ties 14 having cranked ends 15 embedded in the slabs 11, 12 and welded to longitudinal rods 13 in the space between the slabs, comprises a series of spaced parallel side members 30 extending transversely of supports 24, and a series of composite base 31 and end 32 members between said side members defining each individual mould, each individual mould also comprising half-plates 52 and 53 meeting between said side members and one, 52, of each half-plate including means 44 for preventing downward movement of interconnecting reinforcement 13, 14 for the concrete slabs 11 and 12. The bases 31 are supported on pins 33 passing through the side members and the plates 52, 53 on ledges 41 on the end members. In a modification, the pins 33 are replaced by channel-section members between supports 24 and bases 31. Each mould endwall carries a handle 39 and reinforcing struts 40, and the sidewalls include venting holes 54. The means for preventing downward movement of the reinforcement is pivotally mounted on the underside of one of the upper half-plates. 1505198 Shaping ribbed extruded sheet J L GANTZER 15 April 1976 [17 April 1975] 15690/76 Heading B5A [Also in Division B6] A plastics web, for thermoforming into receptacles for alimentary products has one or both major surfaces 2 comprising alternate grooves 3 and ribs 4 extending along its length, the base of each groove 3 being provided with indentations 5 spaced apart along its length. The web is made by extrusion from a die outlet which defines the configuration of the grooves and ribs 3, 4, and impressing the indentations in the web at the exit of the die, by means of a roller bearing ribs and grooves matching those of the web, and projections from its ribs for impressing the indentations. The impressing may cause elongation of the web. The grooves 3 and 4 may be rectangular, or saw-toothed, Fig. 4 (not shown), or may be of different configuration across the width of the web to ensure a constant thickness upon thermoforming. The indentations may be hemispherical, trapezoidal, octagonal, or cubic. The surface 2 may be rendered planar, by simultaneously extruding a film thereon, or a pair of webs may be simultaneously extruded with surfaces 2 facing each other and laminated to a film providing barrier resistance to ultraviolet radiation for manufacturing long life packages. The shaping profile of the die and roller may be obtained by engraving, or electro erosion, and the roller may comprise a coating of antiadherent material.
