1529082 Portable track MASCHINENFABRIK SCHARF GmbH 5 Jan 1976 [9 Dec 1975] 00243/76 Heading E1G Track lengths for mine cars comprise two rails 3 interconnected by cross-members, each rail 3 having an upper horizontal running surface and a vertical web to which mutually complementary socket and lug connectors 8, 9 are attached at opposite ends of the rails so that part of their length projects beyond the rail end, each connector having a portion which is part circular in a vertical plane the centre M of the part circular portions lying in the plane containing the running surfaces of the rails, the socket connector 8 having the form of a flat member longer than it is high and with its semi-cylindrical socket facing upward, the lug connector 9 having the form of a semi cylindrical lug, and the rail ends 10 being angled inwards from top to bottom, the tracks lengths when joined being pivotable about an axis through the centres M of the part circular portions. The joint may be secured by a pin 19 engaging holes in the socket connector 8 and rail web, and in an arcuate slot 20 in the lug 9.
