PURPOSE:To omit the continuous measurement and also to reduce the noise effect occurring in the course of measurement by calculating the frequency instantaneous value of the Doppler signal and then measuring the misdistance MD between the two objects which have the relative equispeed linear motion. CONSTITUTION:The Doppler signal detected by Doppler detector 3 is supplied to frequency meter 4 and then converted into the digital frequency to be delivered out. Computer 7 takes in the frequency value as the sample data at the measurement time and stores it into the memory. When the supply of the Doppler signal completes, the information draw-in is discontinued to computer 7, and the supplied frequency and the time information are read out of the memory to be printed through printer 8. The man decides the quality of the data and supplies the Doppler frequency at each instantaneous value via keyboard input device 9. Computer 7 thus calculates based on the supplied Doppler frequency and a fixed equation, thus obtaining MD and the relative velocity to be then printed out via printer 8.
