APPARATUS FOR UNLOADING GRANULAR MATERIAL OUT OF SHIP HOLD

PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus for unloading granular material out of ship hold, which is equipped with a trolley mounted on a gantry crane that straddles on ship hold and also equipped with a bucket elevator and a bucket conveyor arranged to be vertically movable and capable of turning pivoltally with respect to said trolley, whereby wood chips in the ship hold can be brought out automatically in a short while by means of grab provided at the top of said transporting means. CONSTITUTION:A gantry crane is installed on a ship for carrying granular material such as wood chips, in the manner straddling over the ship hold, and trolley 1 is provided such that it can be moved along its rail. Turning unit 3 is provided on trolley 1, and vertically movable derricking jibs 4, 5 are in turn provided on the turning unit 3. Further, bucket conveyor 6 nd bucket elevator 7 are provided respectively in these jibs 4, 5, and a grab 10 is attached at the top of jib 5. Wood chips in the ship hold are scooped up by the grab 10 and dropped into chute 12, from which they are carried via bucket elevator 7, chute 8, bucket conveyor 4 and chute 17 and finally carried to the outside from center conveyor 16.
