PURPOSE:To collect unburned part and burn perfectly for reducing NOx and unburned part at the same time by restraining NOx to be generated by N-compound in the layer of reducing atmosphere and introducing the gas and the unburned particles generated there into the layer of oxidizing atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:Fuel is sent into a reducing layer 14 through a supply pipe 2. The combustion air from an air duct 1 can supply the sufficient excess air amount to make complete combustion; a part of the air is sent into a reducing layer 14, and the remainder is introduced into a oxidizing layer 3. N-compound in the fuel sent into the reducing layer 14 is resolved under the reducing atmosphere into stabler N2, which is difficult to be NOx even if introduced into the oxidizing layer 3 through a gas duct 10. In the reducing layer, solid carbides are given by generated soot, CO, H2 and others, and burned in the oxidizing layer 3 by the air from a secondary air duct 9 together with combustion gas. This system serves to restrain the generation of NOx from N2 easily.
