PURPOSE:To prepare the title resin having improved adsorptivity, by reacting cyanuric chloride, thiocarbohydrazide, and polyetherdiamine, and gelling the reaction product with an isocyanate group-containing compound. CONSTITUTION:1 Mole of cyanuric chloride is made to react with 1-3 moles of thiocarbohydrazide and a polyetherdiamine of the formula (m is 2,3; n0), in a polar aprotic solvent having a dielectric constant of =30. The reaction product is gelled by mixing with a saturated hydrocarbon having a boiling point of = 80 deg.C and immiscible with said solvent, and adding a compound having two or more isocyanate groups in a molecule under agitation, to obtain a granular resin containing =1 milli-equivalent/g of sulfur. The polar aprotic solvent is, e.g. N,N-dimethylformamide, etc.
