DRAWING OF SYNTHETIC FILAMENT YARNS OF THICK DENIER

PURPOSE:To improve the drawing property of an undrawn multifilament yarn of thick denier and to obtain a uniform product, by feeding the yarn of thick denier to feed rollers to change the relative bositions of filaments under a specific tenision to draw them. CONSTITUTION:The undrawn filament yarn Y is fed from the package 1 through the tensioner 8 to the feed rollers 3 under a tension of 0.01-0.2 g/d via the yarn width regulating guide 9 so that the width of the flattened yarn may be about half as the yarn proceeds from A to B. The yarn is folded to mix and parallel undrawn filaments and to uniform the oil and water contents. The yarn sway during drawing and yarn separation on draw rollers are reduced to improve the drawing property. Thus, a product of uniform quality and high grade can be obtained.
