METHOD OF PROCESSING MEASURED DATA BY COMPUTER TOMOGRAPH AND COMPUTER TOMOGRAPH

1 PHA 20779 : The radiation source and the detectors in a computer tomography apparatus translate and rotate with varying velocities. Radiation transmission data are measured and sampled at a high rate, the sampling points being equidistant in time. The measuring data are flltered and interpolated by means of a high order polynomial fit in order to produce data signals for an image reconstruction algorithm which is based on the data signals obtained at points which are equidistantly distributed in space.
