EXPANDABLE AUTOMATIC EXTRUSION BEAD WINDER IN MANUFACTRUING APPARATUS FOR MIDDLE DIAMETER ELECTRICCRESISTANCE WELDED PIPE

PURPOSE:To make possible the coiled bead to be automatically taken out, by installing plural bars, with expandable tapered tip for winding the bead, at the front end of the rotor, and by installing the extrusion plate provided with a through hole fittable to the root protion of above stated bars. CONSTITUTION:The air cylinder 13 is contracted so as to retreat the extrusion plate 9 and to lay plural bars 5 all horizontally. After that, when the bead in the weld zone of the middle diameter electric-resistance welded pipe 14 is cut away by the bead cutter 19, the cut bead is vertically lifted and is wound around the bar 5, and hereby, the motor 7 is driven for rotating plural bars 5 around the axial center of the sleeve 3. As a result, the bead is wound to the winding drum consisting of plural bars 5. When the quantity of the wound bead reaches a specified quantity, the motor 7 is stopped and the air cylinder 13 is extended for advancing the extrusion plate 9. When each hole leaves the tapered portion of each bar with the advance of the extrusion plate 7, a gap is formed between the hole and the bar 5, and the bar 5 turns inward centering at the hinged point depending on the tension of the wound bead; hereby, the bead comes to a condition readily removable from the bar 5.
