The heater element has a grid or web of resistance wires (1) having a transverse section which curves inwards symmetrically relative to a vertical axis. This transverse section may define a parabolic curve, or an arc of a circle, with the concavity directed upwards or downwards. The element may employ two such identical resistance webs or grids, (1) positioned side by side, or three of them arranged in a triangle.
