The container is for smoke or artificial forg. It has a sleeve (2) around an explosive charge, with an escape hole. In the sleeve is an additional charge (4). To set this in action after a brief delay in a chamber (2.4) gas presses on the outside to rupture the escape hole (2.3). The additional charge is on the ignition surface (3.1) of the explosive charge (3). When fired, the container falls on its face and the smoke or artificial fog is released. The desired effects may be obtained by varying the combustion temp. and the humidity.
