The prefabricated strip of material in "endless" form contains at least two webs (2, 3) provided with perforations (5, 11), lateral edge strips with tractor-feed perforations (4) and adhesion lines (7, 8), which webs subsequently form the outer covers and the clamping region on a folder. With the aid of the tractor feed perforations (4), the strip of material can be fed through a printing station and printed in the sections corresponding to the length of the folder. Pockets or the like can be formed in the folder by means of additional webs.
