S P E C I F I C A T I O N"Process and apparatus for forming charging fuel intoagglomerates for the pressure gasification of coal"ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA process for forming charging fuel intoagglomerates for the pressure gasification of coal,comprises the steps of mixing fine, granular chargingfuel with a binder outside the pressure reactor, subject-ing the mixture, in a pressure vessel, to the pressureprevailing in the reactor, and feeding agglomeratesproduced from the mixture to the fixed bed of the reactorfrom above. The mixture is made with a binder whichhardens when heated and is kept below hardening tempera-ture during subsequent subjection to pressure until fedto the reactor, the agglomerates being produced by hard-ening of the binder in the heat prevailing in the reactorabove the fixed bed.
