A free-flowing particulate agent suitable for use as an additive in particulate detergent compositions, contains components "(a)" and "(b)" as specified below in an approximate ratio by weight of 0.05:1 to 1:1. The component "(a)" comprises one or more primary and/or secondary and/or tertiary orthophosphoric acid esters whose alcoholic component(s) comprise(s) an aliphatic alcohol having 1 to 24 carbon atoms, the reaction product of a fatty alcohol with 2 to 30 moles of ethylene oxide, or phenol or a reaction product of C7-C20 mono-, di- or trialkylphenol with 4 to 20 mols of ethylene oxide; the component "b" comprises pulverulent anhydrous sodium sulphate or tripolyphosphate or a mixture thereof, and has a bulk density of at most 600 g/l, and its particles have the liquid or molten component "(a)" sprayed on to their surface. The agent, in addition to being reasonably easy to prepare, thus has a carrier for its component "(a)" which is itself of positive value in washing procedures.
