Compsns. with rodenticidal activity - contng. an anticoagulant and a substance causing haemorrhaging of bowel and stomach in rodents

Compsns (I) contg. a component A which inhibits the coagulation of blood in mammals and a component B which causes haemorrhaging of the bowel and stomach upon a single oral administration of 50 mg/kg, esp. 5 mg/kg to rats. (I) may be used as rodenticides and are active esp. against rats and field mice. Components A and B act synergistically. A single oral dose is lethal but death occurs a few days after uptake so that rodent do not connect poison and activity. The various layers of (I) may contain an emetic which renders (I) safer to man and domestic animals.
