MULTIPLEX SPEECH TRANSMISSION SYSTEM WITH SPEECH ANALYSIS-SYNTHESIS

Abstract of the DisclosureOn the transmission side, speech signals of aplurality of channels are multiplexed by a pulse code modula-tion system, a partial autocorrelation coefficient and anexcitation signal which constitute a feature parameter ofthe speech are extracted from the multiplexed signals by meansof a speech analyzer for respective digital outputs correspond-ing to respective speech signals, and the extracted featureparameter is multiplexed again and then transmitted to thereceiving side. On the receiving side, the received multi-plexed signal of the feature parameter is applied to aspeech synthesizer on a time division basis for reproducinga multiplex pulse code modulation signal of the speech wave,and the reproduced signal is distributed among respectivechannels.
