AbstractA device for testing electrical continuityat an industrial or household grounded A/C power out-let which is connected to an A/C line voltage througha ground fault circuit breaker. The device includesa housing having at one end thereof an A/C hot, anA/C neutral and a ground prong, and at the other endthree lamps electrically connected between correspond-ing pairs of prongs to provide an indication of thepresence or absence of an A/C voltage between theprong pairs when the prongs are received in plug-inconnection into the outlet to be tested. The devicefurther includes a momentary switch electricallyconnected between the A/C hot prong and the groundprong, and which, when activated, provides an over-load current leakage path from the A/C line to groundso that the device may be used to check both theelectrical continuity at the outlet and the operabil-ity of the ground fault circuit breaker in a singlestep.
