ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA process is disclosed for producing a microporousmembrane suitable as a membrane filler in liquid permeation,micro-filtration and ultrafiltration in reverse osmosis, as aporous support substrate or for another reverse osmosis membrane,-in electrophoresis, curtain electrophoresis, thin layer, gasor liquid chromotography or as a substrate for enzyme attach-ment. The process comprises dissolving a polyester resinand assisting polymer in a mutual solvent, casting the solutionand evaporating the solvent from the polymer. Additionally,the assisting polymer may be leached from the membrane.
