Abstract of the DisclosurePower supply for delivering radio frequency powerto a resonant load utilizing a phase-locked loop to keep thepower supply operating at the resonant frequency of the load.Operation and resonance is detected by comparing the phases ofthe driving voltage and the voltage across a capacitor in theload. The phases of these voltages axe in quadrature atresonance, and a voltage control oscillator which determinesthe frequency of the power is controlled by signal correspondingto the deviation of the phases from quadrature.
