ABSTRACTMethod and apparatus for airborne prospectingin which samples of atmospheric gases, vapours or par-ticulates are collected and contemporaneously the atmospherenear where the samples are collected is monitored to determinewhether the respective samples were uplifted by an updraftof air. Samples respectively collected during periods ofupdrafts are separated from the remainder of said samples,and the samples respectively collected during periods ofupdrafts are analyzed separately from the remainder ofsaid samples.
