ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE:A continuous powder feed system for main-taining an essentially uniform powder cloud above an electrosta-tic fluidized bed coating unit is disclosed. The continuous pow-der feed system comprises a powder container and discharger forcontinuously feeding essentially non agglomerated powder into thecoating bed of the electrostatic fluidized bed coating unit, pow-der retaining walls for containing the bed of such coating unitduring fluidization, at least one powder retaining wall having aheight such as to determine the powder level in the coating bedand permit overflow of excess powder from the coating bed, and apowder collection system for retrieving the overflowing powderfrom the coating bed.
