Process for producing graft copolymers by polymerization of a monomer mixture composed of at least one vinylaromatic derivative and at least one acrylic or methacrylic derivative, of an elastomer containing ethylenic bonds characterized in that in a first step polymerized in aqueous emulsion the mixture of monomers in the presence of the elastomer in latex form dimensional until the ratio is greater than 30%.
