Process for the preparation of novel salts of the monophosphoric ester of 2,2'-dihydroxy-3,3',5,5'-tetrabromobiphenyl

Novel magnesium or calcium salts of the monophosphoric ester of 2,2'-dihydroxy-3,3',5,5'-tetrabromobiphenyl are prepared from the monophosphoric ester of 2,2'-dihydroxy-3,3',5,5'-tetrabromobiphenyl or one of its alkali metal salts and from magnesium or calcium salts. The alkaline earth metal salts which have been prepared are distinguished by not only high activity against liver flukes but also particularly advantageous stability properties.
