Holder for overvoltage arrester with meltable bead - uses bead as connector of two parts forming arrester electrode and holder shank

The holder has a contact arrangement short circuiting under heat generated by the overvoltage arrester. It consists of a U-shaped stirrup, whose one shank carries on its inner side a printed circuit board with a contact plate for the arrester electrode. The latter has a protrusion with terminals for plugging into a suitable component. - The other shank has an aperture, between which and the other electrode of the arrester is held a meltable bead (3). The latter forms a connecting member between two parts (4, 5) held in mutually opposite position. One part abuts an electrode (7) of the overvoltage arrester (6), while the other one (5) abuts the shank (2) with the aperture.
