The ring brush contains a metal ferrule (3) which holds both the ring (2) for the bristles and the cover (10) supporting the handle (9). A clamping part of the ring (2) extends over the entire width of the ferrule whilst a collar of the cover (10) is clamped in the ring (2) and presses the latter against the metal ferrule. In this way when filling the ring with the adhesive required to secure the bristles the adhesive cannot penetrate out beyond the edges of the ring. Furthermore the extension of the ring allows the bristle tufts to be drawn into the ring without obstruction.
