Intermittent alarm for battery operated clock - using two rotary switches controlling drive motor for alarm bell

The intermittent alarm for a battery-operated alarm clock employs two rotary switches (WS1, WS2) coupled to the drive motor (12) for operating the alarm bell (16, 26). The first switch (WS1) is actuated by a mechanical release pulse provided by the clock mechanism (10), the second switch (WS2) being actuated after a given signal duration by the alarm. - Pref. the first switch (WS1) is operated by a cam (22) carried by one of the clock hand shafts, to couple the battery (14) to the drive motor (12) for the alarm. The movement of the clapper of the alarm bell is coupled to a drive wheel for operating the second switch (WS2) to disconnect the motor (12) from the battery (14).
