The water-tight seal, for the bared end of a cable inserted into a junction collar, has an outer protective sheath (8) sealed (7) to the corrugated reinforcing sheath (6) of the cable (5). The entrance (3) to the junction collar (1, 2) is welded to this outer sheath by means of an electrical welding coil (11) embedded in it. - A shrink-fit sleeve (9) covers the ends of the protective sheath and the reinforcing sheath. A second shrink-fit sleeve (12) seals the joint between collar entrance and protective sheath.
