The coupling is esp. for railway vehicles used in a mine. It has coupling units with a catch housing, on each vehicle, into which are inserted eye-shaped sections of intermediate traction rods. The rods are locked by vertically movable coupling pins in upper and lower flanges of the catch housing, having an element to limit their axial movement. - Each coupling pin (5) has a U-shaped safety clip (15), swivable sidewards, and engaging around three sides of the coupling body. The upper flank (16) of the clip is fastened via a pivot (17) to the upper end of the pin. The clip web is heavier than the flanks (16, 18).
