On a reversible conveyor, esp. in the form of a chain scraper conveyor used in cola mining, the shored conveyor unit bracing device comprises a cylinder coupled to the conveyor, working lengthways, supported by a sliding guide beam against an extractor machine frame. - There are two guide beams, enclosing extractor unit(11, 12) to form the arms of a U-shaped bracing frame (18). In the horizontal plane they are connected at fixed angle to a lengthways clamping beam(19), incorporating the cylinder which is directly or indirectly coupled to the conveyor(10). The guide beams can be telescopically movable in a tubular guideways(39) on the machine. This is compact and robust, and easily mounted, permitting transfer of considerable bracing forces.
