Drilling mud degassing plant - using recycled pumped feed to jet vacuum pump

Mud is pumped at high pressure into a jet pump in the sump of an enclosed container, the double jacket of the jet pump venturi producing a partial vacuum in the top of the container that sucks gassy mud up from a reservoir to the top of the container whence it falls onto deflector plates. The main outlet from the jet pump contg. mud and large bubbles of gas is fed to a cyclone separator and the jet pump feeder jet is fed by a high pressure pump with degassed mud.
