An inductive angular position transmitter, which has a pair of coils and core attached to the shaft. The coils are to the sides of the shaft and the core. The core is made such that the inductances of the coils are effected differently when the shaft is rotated. - The core (8), which is disc shaped is mounted on the shaft at an angle to the axis. It will perform a tumbling motion when the shaft (1) is rotating. The shaft is also fitted with a disc (7) near one of the coils (3) at right angles to the axis. There is another disc at an acute angle near the other coil.
