Code multiplexed transmission system - transmits telemetry and control signals to communication relay satellite controlled transponder

The code multiplexed transmission system transmits telecommand and telemetry signals from a ground station to the transponder in a satellite acting as relay station, and vice versa. Two different binary codes are used for telemetry and telecommand. The telemetry signals phase-key a carrier added to the sum signal in the transponder. At the transponder the telecommand binary code is used to demodulate the sum signal (i.e. message and telecommand) in the first transmission band. At the same time a carrier modulated by the telemetry binary code is added to the other sum signal about to be transmitted in the other band.
