Laser fluid-cooling system has circulating pump - pumping optical resonators cooling fluid, and external heat exchanger enclosing resonators housing

The fluid cooling system, for lasers, has a motor-driven circulating pump driving the cooling fluid around the chamber containing the tubular excitation lamp and the parallel tube that contains the active laser medium. The two tubes are enclosed in the optical resonator housing. This housing is in thermal contact with the cooling fluid and has a heat exchanger clamped over it. The heat exchanger consists of two halves hinged together and, when closed, having a large hole running through them for the resonator housing. The lower half is cooled by another fluid system.
