Pedestrian-bearing sunken prefabricated MV substation - with box-shaped concrete base and hooded roof with folding detachable elements

The substation, with a top which can be walked on, is esp. suitable for installation in metropolitan areas where space is at a premium. It comprises a pref. monolithic box-shaped reinforced-concrete base unit, open at the top, for accommodation of the transformer and of the encased medium and low-tension switchgear, and with a central cross arm in the base enabling it to serve as an oil-collecting vat. A hood-shaped roof, amde up from similar elements of fibreglass-reinforced plastic or non-corroding steel or aluminium sheeting, is supported on this all round, with elements foldable and removable in pairs to give access by drop ladder. Min. profile above ground is combined with ease of servicing.
